Our Story
Athens Community Trust (ACT) was founded by researcher, educator, community advocate and social entrepreneur John Tuamoheloa in 2013 with his brother Filipe. In collaboration with other professionals in the community, Athens was established to provide educational programs as a response to the growing number of young people who are alienated and excluded from the mainstream education system. At present Athens Community Trust provides and delivers a number of educational, employment, mentoring, advocacy and life-skills programs to young people between the ages of 13 to 19 years.

Underpinned by Christian and Pasifika values the primary purpose of the Athens Community Trust is to deliver quality education, advocacy and social services. All this, in an environment that is holistic, safe, inclusive and integrated to meet the needs of young people and their families in the community.
